What’s my favorite Christmas movie? Die Hard. And Die Hard 2 is my second favorite Christmas movie (though not my favorite movie about airports, I’m reserving that distinction for Unaccompanied Minors, which I never intend on seeing in this dimension).

What’s my favorite science fiction movie? Die Hard with a Vengeance. I’ll take some horseshit about lightsabers, Klingons and chestbusting parasites with horse teeth as far more plausible than getting from 72nd Street to Wall Street in fifteen minutes, with or without a badge.

So today’s Chanukah present for everyone is the teaser trailer for Live Free or Die Hard! It looks batshit ridiculous: as it should be. My only apprehension is the inclusion of Justin Long (aka “The Mac Guy”) in the “black sidekick role.”
