Oh, Mel

August 6th, 2006 by mendelini

MelSo what we all suspected these years was true: in the future, bizarre modified land vehicles (see Pimp My Ride) will do battle over the only remaining commodity, gasoline (see Gulf Wars I & II and the pending military actions in Iran and Alaska) in an arid, post-apocalyptic landscape (see Kevin Federline) and that Detective Riggs was the Lethal Weapon (see recent DUI arrests).

In recent times, all the shining stars of yesteryear have gone insane or one form or another - Tom Cruise had a drawn-out Thetan-induced meltdown, Arnold Schwarzenegger holds public office, and Mel Gibson is an angry drunk. And also an anti-semite.

The latest development as this saga unfolds is the the polarization of the Hollywood community as other famous people come out of the woodwork to voice their opinions such as:

Jodie Foster: Mel’s Maverick co-star claims that she didn’t believe her ears and that Mel is definitely not an anti-semite. But then again, Jodie Foster is forthcoming about everything, so there is no reason to suspect her of not telling the truth here.

Dean Devlin: Producer of The Patriot and one of Mel’s upcoming projects, says that he and his wife are Jewish and that Mel is one of his best friends. But also Mr. Devlin produced Independence Day and Godzilla, so he is an asshole.

Rob Schneider: Mr. Schneider took out an ad in Variety stating that he will never work with Mel Gibson because of the incident. I’d say it would be a fair assumption that the chances of Rob Schneider’s career maintaining any sort of relevance for more than another six months are quite slim, he’ll be lucky to eat Jon Lovitz’s scraps, and that the half-Jewish comedian was exploiting Mel’s unfortunate situation to garner some attention for himself! For shame!

And then again, who gives a shit?

In conclusion, “what are you looking at, sugar tits?”
