John Paul II is getting ready to check out of planet Earth and bolt straight past the velvet rope into the special Papal Lounge in Heaven (much like our human Delta Platinum clubs). As such, we will need a new Pope, and the FOX Network has initiated a worldwide screening for candidates for its new weekly reality series, The Big Hat. Hosted by Caroline In The City’s Lea Thompson and featuring a panel of the bitchiest College of Cardinals (boasting America’s newest favorite elimination catch phrase “Get the fuck out of here!”), each week one papal candidate is sent home from a starting pool of twenty until the final episode when the new Pope is finally selected. Each player participates in a number of historical, moral, and physical challenges, can earn immunity, prizes, form and break alliances, and compete until there is only one who wears….THE BIG HAT (FOX Mondays!)
